What cause the lower deviation rather than upper deviation of the heat resistant conveyor belt

  Last year, our company shipped a 75-meter heat resistant conveyor with a width of 1000mm to a coal mine in South Africa for mining materials.


  The heat-resistant conveyor belt is made of multi-layer rubber cotton canvas (polyester cotton cloth) or polyester canvas covered with high temperature resistant or heat-resistant rubber, and is vulcanized and bonded together at high temperature. 


  It is suitable for conveying hot coke below 175℃. Cement, slag and hot castings, etc.

It is mainly used in metallurgy, construction and other industries to transport high-temperature materials such as sinter, coke, cement clinker, etc. The material temperature does not exceed 800°C and the belt surface temperature does not exceed 220°C.



  The upper and lower sides of the heat resistant conveyor belt influence each other but they are individual. Commonly, insufficient parallelism of the lower roller will caused the conveyor belt deviates to lower side. Lower side deviation while the upper side is normal basically due to the cleaning device is bad, materials stuck to the lower rollers, the counterweight of the roller is not parallel, the counterweight of the support bracket is skewed and the lower roller is not parallel for each other. The specific situation should be according to the actual situation to be adjusted.


  Usually, the deviation of the lower side could be adjusted, could through improving the condition of the cleaning device, cleaning the materials that stuck on the rollers or the drums, adjusting the lower flat roller, lower v shaped roller, or installing the lower side aligning roller to achieve purpose of correcting deviations.


  Choosing the mechanical bonding, the joint strength can only reach 40-50% of the belt body strength, when the quality of the cold bonding method is good could reach 60-70%, the hot bonding strength could reach 80-90%. due to the joint strength is low if the bonding method is incorrect then the joint strength will be lower, such as injuring the next layer of fabric during cutting, grinding, excessive grinding, insufficient number of steps and insufficient bonding. If the rubber used in the joint has poor performance or has failed due to self vulcanization, the wire rope is rusty, etc., the strength of the joint will be greatly reduced and during using it is prone to occur the breakage of the joint.


  In addition if the conveyor belt doesn’t apply sealing glue or the direction of the glue joints is wrong the part of jointing will be easily cracked. In the operation of the conveyor belt, sometimes will occur the deviation, generally, it is an unusual situation of the conveyor belt deviation that caused by the conveyor belt itself problems. The mainly deviation reason of heat resistant is the belt conveyor belt. The reason of conveyor belt deviation might be caused by the rollers are non parallel, non vertical bracket, the inflexibility rotation of the roller.


  For the relatively short conveyor belt, due to the one side of roller can not rotate inflexible and other factors is less likely to deviate than the heat resistant conveyor belt. For long conveyor belt due to the number of the rollers are increasing the asymmetry of unilateral influence will be reduced, hence the deviation of the conveyor belt will reduced. Of course except some individuals circumstances, such as the self aligning rollers swings inflexibility or it fixed at an angle, the surface is not clean enough or the external environment could cause the deviation of the conveyor belt.
