  What is the difference between the Nylon conveyor belt and Canvas conveyor belt.

  Nylon conveyor belt and canvas conveyor belt are both common conveying equipment, but during the using period, they have obvious different points. Material:

  Nylon conveyor belt is consisted of nylon cloth and rubber, it has high strength, wear resistance, excellent tensile strength and other advantages. Therefore, it has been widely used in heavy and high-speed material transportation. However, canvas conveyor belt is made of cotton, linen, polyester, natural, artificial fibers, rubber, plastic and other compound, it mainly adapt for medium, low type of material transportation, such as grain, fertilizer, cement, etc.

Structure:

  Nylon conveyor belt has relatively simple structure, is usually made of belt body, frame, conveyor roller and etc. But, the structure of canvas conveyor belt is complex, include a belt body, guide roller, tensioning device, connecting device, etc.

Application:

  Nylon conveyor belt is primary suitable for metallurgical industry, mining, port, power plant and various industrial large material transportation departments, such as coal, cock, iron ore, etc,; while canvas conveyor belt is mostly suitable for light industry, agriculture, building materials, such as grain, cement and other medium, small materials transportation.

Advantages and disadvantages:

  Nylon conveyor belt has high strength, wear resistance, low elongation, with relatively stability under a condition of heavy-load, high speed. Bu, the price is relevant high, also it is easy to be corroded under a strong acid and strong alkali environment. While, the price of canvas conveyor belt is cheap, suits for medium, small material transportation, but the sealing is not good, it is prone to be moisture and mildew, low strength, bad elongation.

  In a summary, there is a huge difference between the nylon conveyor belt and canvas conveyor belt of the material, structure, application, advantages, disadvantages and other aspects. Users need to select the appropriate conveying equipment based on the actual needs.
