  Which is better among the canvas conveyor belt and the nylon conveyor belt

Canvas conveyor belt and nylon conveyor belt are both commonly used conveyor belt material, they have respectively advantages and disadvantages. The following are their main features and difference:

1. Material: The main component of canvas conveyor belt is cotton or polyester fiber, while nylon conveyor belt is nylon material. Nylon material with relatively high strength and wear resistance. But, cotton or polyester fiber has better softness and breathability.

2. Strength: The strength of nylon conveyor belt is higher than canvas conveyor belt. Nylon conveyor belt with higher strength and wear resistance, suits for heavy load and high intensity working environment. While, the strength of canvas conveyor belt is low, is suitable for medium intensity and medium load working environment.

3. Heat resistance: canvas conveyor belt has good heat resistance, suits for high temperature working environment. However, nylon conveyor belt has poor heat resistance, is suitable for low temperature working environment.

4. Corrosion resistance: Nylon conveyor belt has a good corrosion resistance, suits for working environment that requires corrosion protection. The corrosion resistance of canvas conveyor belt is relatively poor, is prone to be corroded by chemicals.

5. Price: Canvas conveyor belt with low price, nylon conveyor belt has higher price.

6. In short, canvas conveyor belt and nylon conveyor belt has their own advantages and disadvantages, should according to specific using environment and requirement to choose appropriate materials. If the working environment requires heavy load and high intensity, could be chosen nylon conveyor belt: if working environment requires softness and breatheability, canvas conveyor belt could be selected. When choosing, the price factor need to be considered that could choose canvas conveyor belt.
