How many joint parameters of the conveyor belt do you know?

  In May of the previous year, our company shipped a 50-meter conveyor belt with a bandwidth of 1400mm to a steel plant in Australia for the transmission and delivery of steel.

The conveyor belt is a mechanical device widely used in the industrial field. Its main functions include: material transportation,

material lifting, material accumulation, material classification, garbage cleaning, operating safety, and improving efficiency.


  Conveyor belt enterprises introduce methods of joints of conveyor belt: mechanical joint, cold bonding joints, hot vulcanization joint and other several common methods.


  Mechanical joint generally refer to using the belt buckle joints, this kind of joint methods is convenient and economical. However, the joint effectively is low, is prone to be damaged, have a certain impact to the using life of the conveyor belt. In the joint of PVC and PVG core flame resistant and anti static conveyor belt, conveyor belt below 8 grade usually adopt this kind of joint methods.


  Cold bonding joints which uses the cold adhesive for jointing. This kind of joint ways has higher effectively joint, more economical than mechanical joint, able to have relatively good joint effect, but from the practical point of view, due to the technology is hard to be mastered and the quality of the cold adhesive create a certain impact to the joint, so it is not stable.


  Hot vulcanization joint, from the practical point of view is an ideal joint method which can make sure the high joint efficiency, at the same time could be very stable, the joint of life is long, easy to be mastered. But, the technology has disadvantages such as troublesome process, high cost and long joint operation time.


  The joints of layered conveyor belt could according to need that use mechanical joint, cold bonding joint, hot vulcanization joint. Commonly, cold bonding joint, hot vulcanization joint used the steeped structure joint. Because of the whole core belt structure is special, it is difficult to joint so most of joints methods couldnt work either which is belt buckle joint. But over the 8 grade conveyor belt to ensure the joint effect generally use the hot vulcanization joint method.


  The structure of joint is all finger joint. The hot vulcanization joint process of PVC and PVG the whole core conveyor belt is relatively complex and require high to the equipment. The joint of steel cord conveyor belt is complex of all the joint technology among all conveyor belts. Not only the technology is complex but also the designed parameters of the joint size is complex too. Different level of products selected different joint structure, more specific of structure should refer to GB9770 standard.


  Conveyor belt during the conveying and storage should keep the clean and be avoided to get sunlight directly or rain, snow and should be avoided contact with acid and alkali, oil, organic solvent and other substances, and keep one meter away from the heating equipment. When storage, the temperature of the warehouse should keep bewteen-18℃ and -40℃, relatively temperature should keep between 50-80%RH. During the storage, products should be placed in a roll and must not be folded, the produced should be turned once a quarter. Conveyor belt of different types and specification should be be connected together, the joint could be glued. Reasonable selection based on usage conditions.
