  In February last year, our company shipped a 180-meter heat-resistant conveyor with a bandwidth of 1,400mm to a coal mine in Kenya for the transmission and transportation of mining materials.


  The heat-resistant conveyor belt is made of multi-layer rubber cotton canvas (polyester cotton cloth) or polyester canvas covered with high temperature resistant or heat-resistant rubber, and is vulcanized and bonded together at high temperature. 


  It is suitable for conveying hot coke below 175℃. Cement, slag and hot castings, etc.


  It is mainly used in metallurgy, construction and other industries to transport high-temperature materials such as sinter, coke, cement clinker, etc. The material temperature does not exceed 800°C and the belt surface temperature does not exceed 220°C.


  High temperature and acid and alkali are all the important factors that accelerate the aging of rubber conveyor belt and make it to lose the operate function. Usually the high temperature resistance formula is selected the styrene butadiene rubber. For the conveyor belt industry, the process technology of the styrene butadiene is relatively simple and the quality is stable, also the styrene butadiene has a certain anti corrosion resistance for the acid and alkaline materials. Acidity and alkalinity mainly affect the volume expansion rate of the rubber itself.


  In order to reduce the impact to the rubber function, some inert materials will be added to the conveyor belt formula. The main function of the inert material is the corrosion resistance, meanwhile the effect on the rubber tensile function is a little, effectively ensuring the rate of change of the rubber;s physical mechanical properties. Generally speaking, sulfuric acid below 10% will not corrode rubber, the PH value of 10% sulfuric acid is 0. Fluorine rubber can withstand 98% concentrate sulfuric acid. It is also the best high temperature resistance performance among the conventional rubbers.


  Execution specifications for acid and alkali resistance of heat resistant conveyor belts: HG/T 3782-2005, the acid and alkali function could be divided into three types: A1, A2, A3. The materials that in the environment where heat resistant conveyor belt are used are usually weakly acidic and alkaline substances, it is has to achieve a certain degree of acid and alkali resistance under the high temperature resistance conditions. In the two working conditions, the formula should be adjusted according to the usage conditions that the sites pays more attention to.


  For example, the temperature of some transported materials is around 150 degrees and has a certain acidity and alkalinity, the formula can be adjusted and the lazy material barium sulfate can be added to the heat resistant adhesive formula system to keep the vulcanization system unchanged. In addition, the adhesive tape on the skeleton layer is especially important, high temperature and corrosiveness will greatly accelerate the aging of the rubber, long time of contact with materials of the conveyor belt will make the physical properties of the covering tape to change greatly, expand and become softer, using higher level standard natural rubber will improve the adhesive properties. To make sure that the cover glue and the skeleton layer will not delaminate, largely extend the using life of the conveyor belt.


  The formula design of the heat resistant conveyor belt must be adjusted according to the on sites working conditions to ensure the stability of products quality in using. While, need to constantly improve the self technical strength to meet the guests requirements to serve the public better. Scientifically and targetedly provide the rubber conveyor belt that suits for the on site working conditions, to maximize its own value during using and reduce the production costs, maintenance costs of customer.
