In October 2023, our company shipped a 288-meter nylon conveyor belt with a bandwidth of 1400mm to a cement plant in Ghana for the transportation and delivery of cement.

  The heat-resistant conveyor belt is made of multi-layer rubber cotton canvas (polyester cotton cloth) or polyester canvas covered with high temperature resistant or heat-resistant rubber, and is vulcanized and bonded together at high temperature. 

  It is suitable for conveying hot coke below 175℃. Cement, slag and hot castings, etc.

  It is mainly used in metallurgy, construction and other industries to transport high-temperature materials such as sinter, coke, cement clinker, etc. The material temperature does not exceed 800°C and the belt surface temperature does not exceed 220°C.

What is the hghest temperature that conveyor belt could withstand?

Conveyor belt is a device that tranposrt materials. With the development of the industrial production, there are plenty opportunties to encounter the high tem temperature environments. So, the heat resistant conveyor belt is becoming more and more important.

1. We need to know some basic knowledge of conveyor belt. Generally, the materials of conveyor belt could be divided into rubber, polyurethane, PVC, lien, etc. These basic materials have different heat resistant temperature, hence different conveyor belt has different capacity to tolerate high temperatures. Generally speaking, conveyor belt with rubber material is often used in the heat resistant occasions due to it has good heat resistant performance. However, polyurethane, PVC and other materials are likely to be aged and deformed at high temperatures.

2. The temperature of the conveyor belt will be different when under a different environment. For example, in some high temperature ambient such as steel plant, metallurgical industries and other industries, the temperature that conveyor belt withstand will be higher than other industries. According to surveys, the high temperature resistant conveyor belt sold currently on the market can withstand temperatures up to 400°C. It could satisfied most of the requirements of industries.

3. One thing need to be noted is, although the conveyor belt has strong tolerance capacity under the high temperature, the long term of high temperature environment will affect the conveyor belt greatly. 

Long term of high temperature is prone to result in the aging, deformation, cracking and other problems of conveyor belt. To affect the using life and effect of the conveyor belt. Therefore, in a high temperature to use conveyor belt need to combine the actual situations, and take some necessary protective measures, such as adding lubrication and avoiding excessive strength.
