The manfacturing process of flame retardant conveyor belt

  In November last year, our company shipped a 90-meter super high-temperature resistant conveyor with a bandwidth of 1000mm to a clinker yard in Kenya for the transmission and transportation of cement clinker.

This super high-temperature-resistant conveyor belt uses advanced materials and technology and has excellent wear resistance and tensile resistance, which can ensure the stability and efficiency of materials during transportation. High temperature resistant conveyor belts can work in high temperature environments and maintain the stability of their structure and performance. This enables it to be widely used in high-temperature production environments such as metallurgy, ceramics, glass, and chemicals.


  Flame retardant conveyor belt is a tape that could control the spread of flames and reduce the burning degree of the fire. Usually it is made of various materials and treated with special processes to have the characteristics of flame retardant. The following will introduce the manufacturing processes and the common materials.


Firstly, The manufacturing processes of the heat retardant conveyor belt:

  1.The select of materials: flame retardant conveyor belt usually uses the polymer materials as the basic materials, such as polyamide fiber, polyester fiber, polypropylene fiber, etc. These materials with good anti fire performance and it can control the spread of fire.


  2.Braiding or coating: Selecting all the materials and braided or coated to increasing the strength and the anti wear resistance of the flame retardant conveyor belt.


  3.Processing and forming: the materials after braided or coated, through the mechanical operation to be processed into the requirements of the shape of the conveyor belt such as strip, tube, etc.


  4. Flame retardant treatment: make the conveyor belt to be treated in the flame retardant. Usually use the chemical agents or physical methods to make it has good flame retardant performance.


  5. Cutting or welding: according to the requirements, cut or weld the flame retardant conveyor belt to meet the specific using requirements.


  Secondly, the commonly materials of the flame retardant conveyor belts:

  1. Polypropylene fiber: Polypropylene fiber has good flame retardant performance, chemical stability, anti wear resistance, which is widely used in making flame retardant conveyor belt.


  2. Polyamide fiber: Polyamide fiber is a high-performance synthetic fiber with good flame retardant and thermal stability in the high temperature condition and it is suits for operating in the high temperature environment.


  3. Polyester fiber:Polyester fiber has high tensile stretch and abrasion resistance and it has good flame retardant performance which has a wide range of making flame retardant conveyor belt.


  4. Steel wire: Steel wire has high stretch and anti tensile performance, which can increase the stability and the anti abrasion resistance of the flame retardant conveyor belt. It is commonly used in making heavy-duty-flame retardant conveyor belt.


  5. Flame retardant coating: using the basic materials that processed by the flame retardant coating can increase its flame retardant performance. The common coating materials such as ammonium phosphate, ammonium urea phosphate, oxide-containing compounds, etc.
