2024-07-10 17:00In January 2021, our company shipped a 122-meter-wide steep incline conveyor belt with a bandwidth of 1200mm to a cement plant in Jakarta for the transportation and delivery of cement.
The high-angle corrugated sidewall belt consists of three parts: base belt, sidewall, and diaphragm. The ribs prevent materials from slipping and falling. In order to make it easier to bypass the roller, the ribs are designed in a corrugated shape; the function of the diaphragm is to support the material. In order to achieve large-angle conveying, a T-type TC type is adopted.
The ribs and diaphragms are connected to the base belt by secondary vulcanization, which has high connection strength. High-angle conveyor belts are mainly used for horizontal transportation of bulk materials such as coal, coke, sand and gravel, and can also be used for vertical transportation of finished items.
The joint methods of steep inclined conveyor belt.
High angle conveyor belt is a kind of equipment that used for material transportation under a high angle condition. Its joint method is crucial to the operation stability and transportation efficiency of the equipment.
The joint methods of steep inclined conveyor belt generally applied mechanical connection and cold bonding. We will introduce these two kinds of joint methods respectively in the following.
1. Mechanical connection: mechanical connection is a commonly used joint method. It achieves the purpose of connection by clamping the conveyor belts at both ends with steel plates and fixing thee steel together with bolts. The advantages of mechanical connection are firm, reliable, and it could withstand a large tensile and impact forces, at the same time, it is easy to disassemble and replace.
The installing steps of mechanical connection like below:
(1) . Clean up the joint surface at both ends of conveyor belts, ensure the surface is flat with not impurities.
(2) Align the steel plate and the joint surface of conveyor belt, use bolts to fix the steel plate on the conveyor belt.
(3) Use professional tools to clamp steel plate, make adjustment if necessary.
2. Cold bonding
Cold bonding is a joint method that use glue to connect two ends of conveyor belts together. Its advantage is connect firmly, good sealing, good elasticity, good water proof suits for use in humid and corrosive environment.
The joint methods steps of cold bonding are as follows:
(1) . Cleaning up the two ends of joint surface of conveyor belts, make sure the surface is flat and free of impurities.
(2) Applying the special glue, and cooperate according to the requirements of glue instructions.
(3) Align the conveyor belts at both ends of and gently press them together.
(4) Waiting for the glue to dry, usually takes over 24 hours.
Need to pay attention that is, during the jointing process, the temperature, humidity and air quality must be ensured stable to make sure the joint effect. At the same time, need to choose appropriate joint methods according to the specific situation, to ensure the quality and the reliability of joint.
In short, the joint method of steep incline conveyor belt is the important guarantee for the normal operation of equipment, correct joint methods could improve the using life and working efficiency of equipment.
