In June of the previous year, our company shipped a 40-meter nylon conveyor belt with a bandwidth of 1400mm to a metallurgical plant in Australia for metallurgical transmission and transportation.

  Nylon (NN) conveyor belt has the characteristics of thin belt body, high strength, impact resistance, good groove formation, strong inter-layer adhesion, excellent flexibility and long service life.

  It is suitable for medium and long distances and high load capacity. , transporting materials under high-speed conditions, widely used in mining, coal fields, chemical industry, metallurgy, construction, ports and other departments.

1. Reason

  During the operation time of nylon conveyor belt might appear the situation of breaking belt such as the tension of the conveyor belt is uneven, or the tension of the conveyor belt is excessive; long time of using the conveyor belt, exceeding the using life of the conveyor belt; conveyor belt tearing caused by material impact cracks; the joint of quality is not up to standard, doesn’t meet the using requirement; the joint of conveyor belt is damaged, have warped teeth; the conveyor belt is deviate，causing the unilateral burrs.

2. Prevention

  Adjust the tension device, don’t cause the situation that the tension of the conveyor belt is exceeding or the uneven tension; record the using cycle of the conveyor belt in time, replace the conveyor belt regularly in important sections; control the possibility of the huge material falling, reasonable design the gap between the material and the conveyor belt; perform quality inspection on the conveyor belt to prevent the quality of the conveyor belt; prevent the joint problem of the conveyor belt,deal with immediately to prevent further deterioration; attention the deviate device of the conveyor belt, pay attention to deviation adjustment during the operation.

3. Solution

  Removing the conveyed material and clean the conveyed equipment make sure the site is clean; loosen the tensioning device, cut off the damaged part of conveyor belt; calculate how much new material is needed, make sure the length of the conveyor belt remains the same; using the splicing equipment to heat joint or steel buckles, mechanical joint; adjust the tension equipment to make sure the uniform force; test run to confirm the conveyor belt load does not deviate and the operation is normal before putting it into operation.
