Heat-resistance conveyor belt
2024-01-18 18:04In September last year, our company shipped a 30-meter, 1200mm-wide heat resistant conveyor belt to a coal mine in the United States for the transmission and transportation of mineral materials.
The heat-resistant conveyor belt is made of multi-layer rubber cotton canvas (polyester cotton cloth) or polyester canvas covered with high temperature resistant or heat-resistant rubber, and is vulcanized and bonded together at high temperature. It is suitable for conveying hot coke below 175℃. Cement, slag and hot castings, etc. It is mainly used in metallurgy, construction and other industries to transport high-temperature materials such as sinter, coke, cement clinker, etc. The material temperature does not exceed 800°C and the belt surface temperature does not exceed 220°C.
The heat-resistance conveyor belt is a kind of conveyor belt made of a special material which with high temperature-resistance, wear-resistance, corrosion-resistance and other excellent properties. It can extensive used in metallurgy, building materials, chemical industry, mining and other industries. During the conveying process, conveyor usually pass through the corner, so the corner of the heat-resistance conveyor belt will get damaged easily?
Firstly, look at the force in the corner. During the conveying time, the conveyor belt will bend at the corner so that happens drastic stress concentrations. This stress concentration will lead to the conveyor belt surface get wear and tear, causing the belt damage. At the same time, the corner might occurs cracking and peeling of the anti-layer, further more affecting the using life of conveyor belt. Hence, the corner of the conveyor belt is one of the places where get damaged easily.
Secondly, select the appropriate material is very important for improving the wear-resistance and the heat-resistance performance of the conveyor belt. The common material of heat-resistant conveyor belt is rubber, polyurethane and silicone. When choosing the material, we should consider the properties of the material, humidity, the temperature and other factors. For example, rubber has good wear-resistance which suits for conveying under the normal condition. But, the polyurethane materials have higher wear-resistance which adapt for conveying some high wear material. Silicon material has excellent heat temperature-resistance that suits for conveying material under a high temperature environment. Different material has different degree of heat-resistance and they show different performance at the corner of the conveyor belt. It need to be selected by the actual conditions.
Third, design the proper structure of the corner will reduce the damage to the wear-resistance conveyor belts. There are three common structure of corner, triangular hems, right-angle bends and curved rollers. The triangular folding structure can reduce the friction of materials at the corners and reduce the wear of the conveyor belt; the right-angle bend structure can reduce the stress on the strip and longer the using life of the conveyor belt.
