Last year, our company shipped a 40-meter nylon conveyor with a bandwidth of 1200mm to a coal mine in South Africa for the transmission and transportation of mining materials.

  Nylon conveyor belt, the middle canvas is nylon canvas. Nylon (NN) conveyor belt has the characteristics of thin belt body, high strength, impact resistance, good groove formation, strong inter-layer adhesion, excellent flexibility and long service life. 

  It is suitable for medium and long distances and high load capacity. , transporting materials under high-speed conditions, widely used in mining, coal fields, chemical industry, metallurgy, construction, ports and other departments.

  Nylon conveyor belt is a commonly used conveying machinery, it is widely used in mining, paper making, chemical industry, food processing and other fields. In order to ensure it can work normally and extend its using life which need regular maintenance. There are some maintenance key points in the following.

1. Cleaning and maintenance:

-Regular clean the debris and dirty things from the conveyor belt to avoid to accumulation.

-Using the soft brush or the cleaner to clean to make sure the surface of the conveyor belt is clean.

-Prevent the conveyor belt from bending, folding or hitting the objects avoid the surface get damage.

2. Lubrication maintenance

-The roller, supports and the transmission parts of the conveyor belt that required to be regularly lubricated to reduce the friction resistance.

-Using the appropriate lubricants and selected according to the working environment and the conditions. Different conveyor belts use the different lubrication which according to the guided of the instructions.

3. Inspection and maintenance:

-regularly check the operation of the conveyor belt include whether the tension is appropriate, the center line is offset and the working condition of eccentric conveyor.

-Pay attention to check if the surface of the conveyor belt have wear, tear, rupture and other conditions. Repairing or replace the damaged parts in time.

-Checking if the joints of the conveyor belt is firm. If loosen or damaged, repair or replace in time.

4. Avoiding overloading:

-Avoid excessive load or excessive material flow, which will lead the conveyor belt to be overstretched and accelerate wear.

-if the conveyor belt need to be increased the overload capacity that should replace a conveyor belt with stronger type in a timely manner.

5. Avoiding high-temperature and humid environments:

-Nylon conveyor belts have poor tolerance to high-temperature and humid environments. And should be avoid to be exposure to high temperature and humid environments.

-Conveyor belt should be avoid to be exposed under the sun, shading measurements should be taken.

-To prevent the conveyor belt from being working under a humid environments, the moisture measurements should be taken such as installing a moisture-proof cover.

6. Using properly

-Avoid long time of overload work, the working time and the frequency of using should be moderate of the conveyor belt.

-Avoid sudden start engine or stop the engine, which should operate slowly to reduce the shock.

-Before starting, check the transmission parts is normally or not and ensure the conveyor belt start under a unloading condition.

7. Regular maintenance

-Setting a regular maintenance plan to inspect and maintain the conveyor belt in time.

-Carry out maintenance and replacement according to the manufacturer’s requirements, including lubricants, transmissions parts and the connections, etc.,

-Regularly replace the severely worn parts and promptly repair or replace aging and damaged conveyor belts.
