  In January 2022, our company shipped a 56-meter nylon conveyor belt with a width of 800mm to a stone transportation site in a Nigerian quarry.


  Nylon conveyor belt, the middle canvas is nylon canvas. Nylon (NN) conveyor belt has the characteristics of thin belt body, high strength, impact resistance, good groove formation, strong inter-layer adhesion, excellent flexibility and long service life.


  It is suitable for medium and long distances and high load capacity. , transporting materials under high-speed conditions, widely used in mining, coal fields, chemical industry, metallurgy, construction, ports and other departments.


  The joints of the nylon conveyor belt mainly vulcanized joints with the good wear resistance and poor pressure resistance. Improper handling of the joints might caused the wear of interface, glue opening, cracks and peeling. If does not take the measurement in time, under the tension force, the deterioration will be accelerated by the friction of the belt body, materials corrosion, wear of the joint parts will form the scars to expand, the strength of the conveyor belt will be lower, make the part of bonding be the most weak point of the conveyor belt. If the tension of conveyor belt increasing instantly will easily cause the belt breakage.


  When the conveyor belt passes the roller, relative movement occurs between the conveyor belt and the roller which is called slipping. Slipping doesn’t always occur on the drive roller, but it is particularly frequent at the drive roller. Slippage will increase the temperature of the conveyor belt, accelerated the wear, thinner the belt body until break. The reason cause the slippage mainly are: the materials accumulation at the load bearing point, blockage of large pieces of material at the guide trough, causing the over load of the conveyor belt; there is oil and ice on the drive roller, smile water or other materials enter the roller and the conveyor belt, which will reduce the friction coefficient of the conveyor belt and the drive roller that forms slippage.


  Conveyor belt tearing is a common form of conveyor belt, the basic cause is excessive deviation of the conveyor belt. The friction of conveyor belt deviation between the frame and roller frame will cause the flanging, scratches, cracks if during the operation time, it is caught by the unloader, frame, etc, edge tearing will occur. There are many factors that will cause the deviation but they can be divided into two types: one is the device problem or its quality is poor. Common factors are: sinking or deformation of the frame and roller bracket: incorrect installation of the load bearing roller group, skewed tensioning installation; incorrect joints of conveyor belt, etc.


  The deviation occur in the operation of the nylon conveyor belt, could be adjusted by the roller groups of the belt conveyor. More clearly is that the side the conveyor belt faces the side of roller set will move to, vice versa. it opposite then move backward which is the most effective way to dealing with the deviation problem. In the process of installing the self aligning roller set, the pattern conveyor belt should be according to the specific situation to choose more properly type of roller sets.


  Since there are many intermediate shaft types, four link types and vertical roller types on the current market, it has to choose the appropriately roller sets according to the different types of belt conveyor. Due to its principle to make the belt centripetal by blocking or generating lateral inferences. Rotation can meet the performance of adjusting deviation but it has a certain impact on the life of conveyor belt.
